Since Hamira qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 1996, she has dealt with the full spectrum of human distress and discomfort. Nonetheless, she still firmly believes in the potential people have to change and grow. Psychology provides many different ways of exploring issues that may seem ‘too big’ for people to handle alone. Hamira is not wedded to any one theory or tool but on what seems to be the most beneficial for her patient, anything from CBT and ACT to Jungian thinking and third-wave therapies to get to the heart of problems. So, whether patients come to see Hamira because of self-doubt or depression, relationship problems or mid-life crises, her approach will always be holistic, eclectic and individualised.
